| CLEVELAND - March 2007 - Gateway Safety Inc. recently introduced the Serpent™ ventilated safety helmet. This new line of safety helmets helps keep workers cool on the jobsite, while protecting them in harsh work environments. Featuring the CoolSense™ Air Flow System, Serpent ventilated safety helmets have six strategically designed vents along the peak of the head. These vents allow heat to escape, keeping users cooler. Additional comfort features on the Serpent include a soft, six-point nylon suspension that also offers impact absorption. Both pin-lock and ratchet suspensions are available for adjusting the nylon suspension to fit head sizes from 6-5/8" to 8-1/4". A soft, cushioned brow pad helps absorb moisture. The helmet's snake-head shell design provides an attractive style and durable head protection, while a rain trough helps keep rain off workers. Available in 10 colors, it is manufactured from a high-density, polyethylene material, keeping it lightweight at 13.1 ounces. The Serpent has been independently tested to ensure that it meets the Type 1, Class C requirements of the ANSI Z89.1 standard. Accordingly, Serpent safety helmets should not be used in applications where there is a risk of electrical conductivity.
